Zoom In-Office Whitening

What is Zoom In-Office Whitening?

Zoom is a professional in-office whitening treatment that can eliminate discoloration and staining from natural teeth. The procedure takes about an hour in our office, where you can sit back and relax while we do all of the work of brightening your teeth. The results are immediate and dramatic, making it an ideal option for people wanting to enhance their smile. Zoom whitening delivers safe, gentle ingredients to the teeth while maximizing results.

Why is Zoom In-Office Whitening needed?

Most patients want Zoom whitening because they are unhappy with the look of their teeth. You may want professional in-office whitening because you are getting married, going to a special event or attending a class reunion. Many of our patients choose whitening before extensive smile makeovers where they can then match their new restorations to brighter, whiter teeth. Because in-office whitening takes less than an hour, it’s easy and convenient for most people.

Who is a good candidate for Zoom In-Office Whitening?

Teeth whitening is best for natural teeth and will not change the color or appearance of restorations like veneers, fillings, bridge work or crowns. It’s important to realize that the procedure takes about an hour in our office, so you’ll need to commit to spending time having it done. We can help in determining if whitening is right for you and if our treatment is the best choice. Most people who want in-office whitening are good candidates to have it done.

What can you expect with Zoom In-Office Whitening?

You’ll come into our office and have the teeth separated from your gums using specialized gauze and cotton rolls. A whitening gel is applied to each tooth and a bright light is used to accelerate the whitening process. We will remove the gel and light after about a half an hour and reapply a new layer of whitening gel. The light is reapplied and you’ll sit in the office for an additional half hour. You’ll be given instructions on how to maintain your new brighter smile and what to expect after leaving the office.
